Ultra Violet Light Counterfeit Detector
Product Description
Detects counterfeit currency, credit cards, driver licenses, secure and chemically altered checks, cashiers checks, passports, visas and many other important documents. Protect yourself from counterfeiters anywhere you go. Its UV light will reveal security features hidden in bills, checks and other security protected documents.
Focus the Ultra Violet Light Counterfeit Detector in a dark area on notes (US currency, CAD currency, etc), credit cards, driver's license, passports, and any other documents that should contain a Government issued security feature to detect any counterfeit. The non-counterfeit items will expose the security feature it should contain (such as red fiber on CND note or Polymer security thread on US note), and the counterfeit bills will not reveal or detect these features, therefore, proving it to be counterfeit.
Compact enough for you to take with you on the go, (great for traveling to foreign countries where you may be even more prone to receiving counterfeit bills) while shopping, on a business trip, eating out, etc.
Also made to be useful in stores as putting a bill up to the light isn't a flattering pose to strike in front legitimate or easily offended customers, the bills can be authenticated right under your counter, quick and easily.
Instructions:
- U.S. paper currency in the following denominations: $5 $10 $20 $50 $100 have a polymer security thread embedded in the bill. These threads will glow under Ultra Violet light.
- Inside each security thread is printed the denomination of the bill, such as "USA TWENTY".
- Shine light on front of bill where the security thread is located; you will see the thread glow.
- To verify, shine the light through the BACK of the note to illuminate the thread and expose the printing.
- In addition to US Dollars the UV pen light can be used to authenticate the following:
- Credit Cards
- Travelers Checks
- $US, Canadian, € EURO and most foreign currencies

Our UV light works on Canadian Currency!
From the Bank of Canada website:
When verifying the UV feature, always check other security features too. Look at the note under UV (ultraviolet) light. The coat of arms, and the words FIVE CINQ and BANK OF CANADA BANQUE DU CANADA glow in blue over the portrait. Red fibres are scattered across both sides of the note.
